CEO Mentality, Homegirl Personality

Hi, I’m Bri Madison, founder of Cocoa Clique and your friendly neighborhood introverted extrovert with a big heart, a love for connection, and probably a glass of wine in hand.

Now here’s the truth: Cocoa Clique wasn’t a carefully mapped out plan. It started by accident. In 2022, I made a random TikTok that said “I live where the Black women are overlooked” with a map of Phoenix. That post went viral overnight and thousands of Black women across Arizona found their way to me. What started as a Facebook group called Pretty Girls Link Up quickly grew bigger than I ever imagined.

The “let’s do brunch with a few girlfriends” plan turned into hundreds of women wanting to connect. So just three weeks later, we threw our first event, a pool party in July 2022. A year later, we rebranded to Cocoa Clique to reflect the elevated, luxe, yet fun vibe this community represents. And here we are, still going strong, curating spaces for Black women to connect, collaborate, and just be. Because in a world that calls us the minority, here we walk in as the majority.

But Cocoa Clique is only one side of me. I’m also a content creator, brand strategist, and lover of all things beauty, fashion, and lifestyle. I’ve lived in Ohio (Go Buckeyes), St. Louis, Atlanta, and for the past five years, Phoenix has been home. When I’m not planning events or creating content, you can usually find me at hot yoga, trying out a new restaurant, reading a good book, traveling, or catching a game. And if you really know me, you know I can curate a perfect self-care night: candles lit, music playing, and a glass of wine never too far away.

With a background in tech and branding, I’ve learned how to blend strategy with creativity to help women build brands that feel as beautiful and powerful as they are. But beyond business and events, my true passion is creating spaces online and in real life where women feel seen, inspired, and supported.

At my core, I believe life feels richer when we grow together, celebrate each other, and show up fully as ourselves. That’s what Cocoa Clique is all about, and I’m so glad you found your way here.
